Description
HMS Corunna and HMS Barrosa in the Moray Firth, Scotland, during the 1950s
These two Later Battle Class Fleet Destroyers are shown anchored on a dead calm sea, early morning, in the Moray Firth, Scotland.
Of the many World War Two destroyer designs, for Richard Kennedy the heavyish Battle class, built in two groups towards the end of the conflict and in peacetime, were the best looking.
See HMS Barrosa’s service history here.
